Pretty F vocals dream-pop. All covers, some hits, some fails. I miss the "edge" where I know the originals. Going out on a limb- when This Mortal Coil did similar thing in the 80's, they used somewhat unhappy musicians who were still experimenting with their sound and got very spare, dark, whereas this is wistful and soft (and more consistent in sound). Yet where it works, it feels good.
+1.Happy hopeful love song
2.Darkish rock, post-rock influence in the production
+3.Delicate 3/4 wistful piano & plucked acoustic guitar, ambient reverb
4.Bland
++5.Mid-tempo, strong beat, pop with a little buzz and zither. Memoriable melody.
+6.Folk, just voice and acoustic guitar, very pretty, a little gutsy.
7.Quiet intro, slow sad song. Unsurprising downer.
8.Plodding piano, post-breakup, ¾ time. Poor treatment of the song.
+9.Upbeat, ¾ time, full band (plus occasional synth, strings for emphasis), 60’s pop-folk feel.
+10.Straight-up happy pop, mid-slow. Singer sounds like Nico when she hits the low notes (end is mostly falsetto).
