Danny Saber “Saber Bytes”
A compilation of (mostly) the newest electro music, this shit is BANANAS (yes, B-A-N-A-N-A-S). Well, the best songs are. Others are blah blah …Many tracks fuse alternative rock with electro stylings but some don’t fit that mold at all – sorry I can’t be more explicit. The disc is named after Danny Saber who played guitar with Black Grape in the 80’s and has produced, DJ’d & collaborated w/ celebs from “Sheryl Crow to Madonna to Public Enemy.”
FCCs – none Start with: 1 (!!!!), 2, 12 basil
1)***Crazy electro female vox a la Freddy Mercury/The Gossip. A must listen!
2) ***driving track that mixes rock guitar w/ pulsing percussions & synth
3) strong alternative influence here; has a 90’s English rock feel to it
4) catchy acoustic pop song
5) * soft, whispering male vox, driving synth
6) * Great moments of falsetto vox; muzak sounds like the Fray
7) * chill guitar strums, violin-like synth, soft male vox
8) bring on the slow soul! Rich female vox next to somewhat drab beat
9) pop punk vox + jagged guitar; you could call it post-rock?
10) ** high energy outer space rave music; 90’s throw back
11) * Bit of darkness in this one; great snare drum under French audio clips, very calm, never really takes off like I want it to
12) ***Bitchin Indian/Space/Rock comosition w/ clapping! high energy, instrumental
