'Red Dirt Jazz' Tulsa Oklahoma trio now a quartet with added lap steel guitarist and a new bassist. They have been around for 15 years and really cook on this CD.
***1: 6:37 sweet lap steel, pounding piano, a Rahsaan Roland Kirk tune dedicated to Atlantic record producer Joel Dorn.
2: 5:15 fast straight ahead tune
3: 6:57 slow to mid, nice piano noodling with lap steel cover of the Beatle's "Julia"
***4: 5:12 very good cover of Abdullah Ibrahim tune
5: 7:06 mid to faster, nice 'classical' piano incorporation
