Often good modern rockin’ eh, swaggery rawk created by Duane Dennison (Jesus Lizard, Tomahawk, Scratch Acid) & Paul Barker (Ministry, Rev Co.) along with an author Johnny Rabb on drums and vocalist Gary Call. This comes across as a mix of Jesus Lizard, Nine Inch Nails and Helmet and even lesser known acts like Failure or Therapy. A few songs do have a certain charm in most cases and often take a few spins to get into.
(((1))) Steady, rhythmic number with very poppy 1990’s vocals.
((((2)))) Bassy, sluggish with a lot of vocal/drum beat interplay
((3)) Funky, odd metered beat & moody vocals unfortunately comes off like commercial “douche rock”. (See Stone Temple Pilots, Staind if you must).
(((4))) Very much NIN crossed with Helmet. OK for what it is.
(((5))) Dooota-doota-doot mid-paced riff, dead sounding drumming, more NIN worship with some boring slick chorus.
(((6))) Laid back, guitar & clicky drum track based tune with hazy to bursting out vocals. Kinda interesting.
((((7)))) Fast, bassy, Jesus Lizard-y with pretty cool. Sorta like the better side of System of a Down without the slickness?
(((8))) Post-punky odd metered tempo with washes of synths and a bunch of fuzzy bass & woozy vocals.
(((9))) Slow dreary very 90’s “mope rock” tune ‘ala early Tool, NIN with a few outward (re: slightly louder) moves.
((((10)))) Tons of fuzz bass with shimmering guitars and simple drumming. Slow, creepy vocals, strangely compelling for the most part.
((11)) Simple riff, industrial beats, lo-fi noise. Waste of a good guitar tone. Just too much dicking around.
