CRUSHING Black/Doom/Heavy Metal with a tinge of Hardcore. The latter part makes more sense as the band previously did time in the NYHC bands, Kill Your Idols, H2O and Deathcycle. Big ‘ol riffs, gnarly raspy but understandable vocals, nice drum fills and did I mention RIFFS!? Production's typical of Relapse in that it’s clean but not too slick. Fairly close to recent Nachmystium, Darkthrone and fellow New Yorkers, Villains and like all 3 – they ain’t afraid of rockin’ thee fuck out.

(((((1))))) Solid, riffy and very easy to follow. Good bass & drumming, too. “The wolf is at yourrr doorrr!”
((((((2))))))) Discordant riff into fast hardcore influenced black metal with KILLER vocal melodies (yes, really) and monster riffs. Bonus points for the Tom G. Warrior-ish “Heeeeey!”
((((((3)))))) Doomy intro, slithering & snarling about pauses for a few secs then Swedish Death Metal style riffin’ with modern mix of D-beat, and Blackened Metal-Punk (again see Darkthrone & Villains).
((((((((4))))))) Tremolo riffin’ and gnarly vocals with bit of off-kilter guitar melodies & more doomage. Great use of the traditional metal gallop riffs & solos.
((((((5))))) Fast & catchy as fuck Black/Heavy Metal
((((((6))))) Big sludgy mid-tempo Black Metal style. Gets faster later on. Comes off like Soilent Green crossed with Nacthmystium. Could use less pinch harmonics though.
(((((((7))))))) Another big riffer with a lot of bass & nice drumming & cymbal crashes. Black Metal with modern & classic Heavy Metal (the proper kind). Sounds a LOT like High On Fire mixed with Watain’s vocals.
