Sexy downtempo spacey narcotic head swinging “rock” with a subtle funky wah wah thrown in to make it unique at times. Theres genuine psyche to make very early Pink Floyd blush too. Otherwise it’s a perfect example of space ambience rock that makes me want to live, grow old to see what comes next, cuz if this approach to music dies, then theres no point in living. Fans of Bowery Electric, Sid Barrett , very old Pink Floyd and the Kranky Label definitely take note.
1) downtempo sexy hip swinging beat, some funk styled sublte wah’s submerged in the mix, ~2 min in sexy submerged female vocs appear, lovely
2) (play 2 and 3 together) percussiveness kinda holds attention until the wash of lush tones and restrained fem vocals drown you in a “sea of love” (zk search and play cat power’s version right this second!), very very nice noise outro that leads, blend right into the next trac
3) lovely ambient noise, not harsh but dreamy and spacey, evolves to a subtle electro beat thing that keeps it interesting
4) dreamy if slightly proggy 70’s hip swingy mode, cool stuff for sure, would work well with Krautroc
5) slow eastern strings, epic lush with echo and melodies, trippy and stoney and beautiful, ambient and trippy
6) mid to upbeat song that could fit in a London psyche club circa 1967, cool
7) swirling trippiness that the guys in Pink Floyd heard in their heads as they watched the inflatable pig get cut loose and fly into London Heathrow airspace, while on acid. Brick, Josh, are you paying any fucking attention?
