Gorgeous ambient music, guitar driven in places but otherwise washes of tones that would make Eno and the greats proud. Fans of Flying Saucer Attack and other long form psyche bands (Makoto Kawabata, etc) take note as well. Nothing harsh, everything dreamlike and lovely, but not boring at all. Solo artist from So. Cal. From Hidden Shoals website: “Sleeping Me’s debut release Cradlesongs is an homage to the bittersweet rise and fall of fortune, the discovery and evasiveness of identity and truth, and the acceptance of distance, disappointment, and the poignancy of an ever-elusive yet omnipresent love.”
1) dreamy sparse slow guitar with ambience
2) lusher ambience, rhythmic dreamy
3) melodic and dreamy, almost songlike
4) guitar arpeggio hypno
5) very ambient, washes
6) somewhat droney with bell-like percussive embellishments
7) minimal waves of somber string-like tones, sad feel
8) slow to start with some somewhat noisey tones, but evolves into dream layers
9) title track is guitar based and lovely, flying saucer attack
10) very ambient, Eno’esque dreamscape
