Awesome philadelphia based indie pop duo. They're earnestly lo-fi with a bit of psych. Pleasant & fuzzy; sun bleached and full of reverb. Most songs plod along at a nice mellow pace. The instrumentals are just guitar and drum. The vocals are very lo-fi/fuzzy; they always seem to be lamenting something. Lots of lyrics about an escape to nature so that might be it. No FCCs
RIYL: Generationals, Mika Miko,Best Coast, Vivian Girls, Mexican Summer
Most tracks are fairly similar, so take your pick. I like 5,11,2,3,9
1. Slower. Wistful vocals. Dreamy guitar
2.* Fast, guitar strumming. Midtempo, lamenting vocals. Nice, kind of pop-y
3.* A bit of Mika Miko. Light, danceable girl punk
4. super fuzzy, a bit of drone. Melancholic, barely discernible voices. slightly tribal sound
5.* Finally a real pop song! Fuzzy, lazy mid-tempo, incredibly pleasant
6. Quiet start builds into lovely, but sparse, pop
7. 70s pop. A nice guitar groove that channels the B52s or the Bangles
8. Mid-tempo. Unlike most, this has a sunny, optimistic feel
9. Wall of guitar that lasts the entire track. Sweet female vocals
10.* Jangly, aggressive, a bit of punk. They're as good at yelling "No Future" as good as any band.
11.* Uptempo mostly instrumental jam. Touches of synth. Catchy.
12. Glitchy. A bit more psych. Synth and swirling instrumentals.
