Bržjast: Bržjast (Self-titled) (Slušaj Najglasnije!)
Eastern European experimental punk trio in old-school, upbeat vein (but not hardcore). Not too much crunch on the guitar, lots of stops, heavy on the riffs, even jazzy or funky at times; yelping vox (in Bosnian? Croatian? Slovenian?). Think The Hives meet the Minutemen if The Sugarcubes’ kooky Einar Örn was on the mic.
Best tracks: 01, 02, 04, 11
Garaža 2:29: jangly, upbeat
Izbrišite Me 3:28: starts slow, then upbeat; lots of stops
Izbrišite Me 3:28: duplicate of 02!
Majco 3:34: upbeat, riff-heavy; gets frantic, staccato
Vrnite Majco Nazaj! 3:35: duplicate of 04!
Same Smeti 2:53: disjointed, mid-tempo
Nemoralni Potepuhi 2:43: jangly, mid-tempo, gets noodly
Cista Duša [Beautiful mind/soul] 3:59: groovy, but discordant, mid-tempo
Znoi 4:50: quiet intro, instrumental slop, upbeat toward end
Pismo Gandhi 3:30: distorted vox rant, slop; finally comes together
Bušman 4:03: lively, upbeat, cool progressions, rung-out chords
Kukirukikuki 3:14: upbeat, straight-forward, kooky vox
V Gozdu 5:34: psychedelic intro; jumpy, upbeat; gets blusey
Košcek 1:30: near drum solo, with big bass riff; mid-tempo
