Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2010-12-30
Local noise pop, indie rock with a tough edge, with off-key female fronted vocals. A duo of fuzzed/dirty bass and drums. Reminds me of early proto-noise-pop bands like Helium, 18th Dye, Cakelike. Vocals are in your face, a little high in the mix but the music is authentic and dirty. Think recent afile residents Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling. Heavier than heaven despite only being a duo.

1) upbeat poppy and off key
2) dirgey and dissonant, tribal and heavy and cool with call/answer vocs
3) starts off urgent but falls into an a capela thing for a bit then turns into a friendly noise pop song
4) upbeat and poppy
5) tribal and heavy, noise bass comes through
6) upbeat, the vocals are really annoying on this one
