This group met in a refugee camp and have truly turned tragedy to triumph. This is their second release and is full of life, energy, and delicious music. Here they are influenced by reggae, New Orleans, and the sounds of the islands w/a hint of Afro funk & soukous. Featuring great vocals, some very cool guitars & catchy tunes. Play it all.
1. Warm and lively wiggle, mid/upbeat w/great guitars & vocals.
2. Midtempo reggae, a cool drive w/a powerful message.
3. Voices against light percussion. Upbeat, driving, very cool.
4. Horn-driven reggae w/a strong thread of Afro funk. Mid/up.
5. Steel horns in a relaxed island sway w/powerful vocals.
6. Big, brassy reggae groove w/a relaxed head-nod.
7. Upbeat and energetic booty shaker. Fast, fiery, and so good.
8. Call-response, percussion gets crazy fast. Wicked! Applause at end.
9. Upbeat horn-filled reggae. Fun.
10. Relaxed and midtempo reggae love song. Sweet.
11. Bright midtempo African satire about food shortages. Cool.
12. A capella opens to up reggae w/ cool growling vox.
13. Bird calls, drums, village noises, then warm reggae w/a recorded live sound.
