Gershwin By Grofé: Original Orchestrations And Arrangements:
This is a superb recording of George Gershwin (1898–1937) originals arranged for symphonic orchestra by Ferde Grofé (1892-1972) for the Paul Whiteman Orchestra. This recording just transports you back in time as few modern recordings do with the musicians spot-on and featuring the likes of 95 year old clarinet/sax player Al Gallodoro who was originally in the Paul Whiteman Orchestra and passed away weeks after this recording was finished in late 2008. – dBug || No FCCs
