Crushing Heavy Black/Death Metal from S.F. (via Kansas City, MO). Kerasphorus is Pete Helmkamp - Bass, Vocals (Order From Chaos & Revenge) + J. Read - Drums (Axis of Advance, Conqueror & Revenge) plus B. Wolaniuk on guitar.
Helmkamp is a beast on vocals, instead of the chaotic insanity he did in Revenge this is more refined Black/Death with a more technical approach without being too showy or boring. There's a LOT going on in these songs other than speed & blasting (though there's an obvious amount of that). 4 songs that have an endless "swarming" and overpowering feeling. All the instruments come out really well, too.
If you’re concerned about it - the holocaust element here is solely to do with the concept of inhumanity not an ideological endorsement.
((((((1)))))) Great anticipatory intro, builds up into a towering inferno of rapid fire Black/Death Metal. Great bass sound and twists & turns that make it just as intense as the fast parts.
((((((2))))) Doesn't fuck around and goes right for the throat. "NASH-III-RIIIIIIAAA!"
(((((((3))))))) As if the last one wasn't FAST ENOUGH! Great 7-8 note riffing with runs counterpoint a few of the drum breaks/fills. Fierce and unrelentingly militant yet also super catchy around the 2:04 mark.
((((((4)))))) Awesome intro with bombastic as hell sound and a nice "Bleeeegggh!" continues the intensity from earlier. Pretty intricate riffing and excellent vocal inflections in the 2nd to last verse. "Swarming to make it all undone" - indeed.
