To Rococo Rot – Speculation
Reviewed by Enzomanic 7/14/10
Fascinating blend of some kinda psychedelic electro acoustic post-modern rock, 50% electronic 50% rock per say. Most of the German trio compositions are emphasized on altering textures and timbre by the use of acoustical and electro acoustical instruments. It’s very rich, nebulous and multidimensional. Cannot miss this.
Try 2,3,4,6,7,8,9
1) Midtempo, acoustic, simple and predictable rhythmic patterns, drums-bass-guitar. 2) Up-tempo, kinda spacey and jazzy touch, ethnological and technological components. 3) Up-tempo, synthbass outweighed by acoustic bass, melodically charismatic, ascending timbre fashion. 4) Midtempo, minimal four-on-the-flour kick with evolving atmospheric synths and other acoustic and electrical toys, timbre and textures making love, exotic. 5) Experimental intro the next. 6) Midtempo dance-y beat, old fashion samplers, kinda 70’s rock band producing electronica, another tasty blend. 7) Midtempo, experimental but with an organized rhythm, phased percussion, ascending composition. 8) Midtempo, jazzy, and psychedelic touch, synthbass randomly filtered, a bunch of acoustic and ethnic instruments mixed with delay and reverb, multidimensional. 9) Uptempo, tribal and futuristic, melodically uplifting. 10) Ambient/Experimental, drone-ish sfx, long uncertain feel.
