Noise, chunks of digital and acoustic well blended. Very cold and hard. Cindytalk (Gordon Sharp & co.) have been releasing uncompromising music for roughly 30 years, and for the last decade have focused on instrumentals of alienation. Apparently this CD was first released in 2004 and has been re-released now by Editions Mego.

1. High pitched digital signal pulses, later lower pitched & mid tone buzzes menace in the spaces- then all fade away
2.Decrepit skyscraper where wasps have nested. Tone screech then fade to end with clangs and static bursts.
3.fade in insect twittering with crackles and metallic digital noise accompanying.

7.Running water, high-pitched whistles, shimmer
8.Pulsed loop (influenced by Gordon’s “techno” Brambule & “Darkmatter Soundsystem” projects?) under dirty whines, reminiscent of a worn-out laundry machine.
9.A descent, gummed by a toothless daemon, digested in its belly
10.Thin electronic monotone trill, jogging thru tall grass, a cyborg’s labored breaths
11.Rain and gentle piano, slight electronics/vocal samples for atmosphere- Harkens back to the ambient half of In This World- and are all devoured by dystopia.
12.(bonus, mix from “The Wire” magazine, a little more structured then the rest of the album.) Begins with an Orson Wells sample. Rhythmic noise beat under a swarm choir which becomes horn-like crescendo. Rhythm disappears, lost in a windy forest, find shelter in an active airline maintenance garage.
