Indie rock super group. Members from Snow Patrol, She & Him, R.E.M., &c. Mostly acoustic, pausing songs which sound very much like what made Snow Patrol famous. Pretty and evocative, but don’t expect anything groundbreaking.
(U= Upbeat, M= Midtempo, D= Downtempo). FCC on 8. Try 2, 5.
1.D: Vocals are central. Sparse instrumentation, just some key instrument and simple guitar. Sounds appear disconnected.
†2.M: Muffled vocals, male and female. Slow and pausing, builds towards end and gets all emotional, banging drums, frenzied guitars and all.
3.D: Slow, a lot of strumming guitars and harmonized vocals. Fiddle solo towards end is the best part.
4.M: Folksy, string guitar and soaring melody in the chorus.
†5.D: Steady, driving guitar line, building towards chorus, which is soothing. String arrangement at the end, with hazy, dreamy vocals.
6.M: Acoustic ballad, syncopated, driving beat.
7.D: Change in vocalist. Folksy, acoustic track with some high pitched vibes.
8.D: Long, acoustic intro. FCC: fucking.
9.D: Change in vocalist. Americana tinged track. Slow and layered strings.
10.M: Muffled vocals, steady, driving beat towards chorus. Guitar distortion goes on halfway through, persists until end. ~15s silence.
