TED LUCAS -- "THE OM ALBUM" -- Acoustic guitar with
Bob Dylan folksy lyrics and vocals. Would work for
contemporary country, perhaps pop, or mellow programming. Not really "my" style, but not bad.
Best Tracks: 7, 9, 8, 6. -- Sunshine January 2011
** 1) Plain & Sane & Simple Melody -- Acoustic reggae feel, but singers sound White. Happy lyrics. 2:36
* 2) It's So Easy (When You Know What You're Doing) -- Folky acoustic * strumming arpeggios. Reflective, introspective lyrics. 2:59
* 3) Now That I Know -- Twangy. folksy and countrified, but happy 2:25
4) I'll Find A Way (To Carry It All) -- Like Bob Dylan. Classical guitar. Seems somewhat martyr-esque. Slow tempo. 3:22
* 5) Baby Where You Are -- Folksy love song. Kind of pretty and sweet. 2:29
*** 6) It Is So Nice To Get Stoned -- Mellow harmonies about popular subject. Reminds me of Neil Young and Stephen Stills, alone or as Buffalo Springfield. Lyrics are extremely repetitive, probably due to memory loss! 4:27
***** 7) Robins Ride -- Upbeat. Fun percussion. Great strings. Instrumental. My favorite track on CD! I would play this one for sure! 3:15
**** 8) Sonny Boy Blues -- Brisk and bluesy. Fun strings, beats. Think John Lee Hooker without vocals, or movie soundtrack. Instrumental . . . until last part of song. Then talks about drinkin' whiskey and wine. Applause at end. 7.00
***** 9) Love & Peace Raga -- Tuning up sort of sounds at start . . . then like "Classical Gas". Kind of a Middle Eastern sunset. Pretty cool. Instrumental. Applause at end. 8:00
