Strange, rumbling, dark and heavy (but not Metal) Psych & horror-influenced “maximal minimalism” from the land of Andre the Giant (Grenoble, France). Totally repetitive beats, fuzzed out guitars, slow, creepy atmosphere. Contains two members from the excellent French Black Metal act, Diamatregon (who’s CD Crossroad, is in the library & comes hugely recommended).
Keep in mind this CD version is only 2 epic tracks (the LP has 5). The right tracking is in Zookeeper. Worships at the same blackened temple as Skullflower, Fushitsusha, KFJC’s Cy Toth, and utterly mental drummers.
((((1)))) Pretty much the same beat all the way through (over 18 minutes!), slow twang, medium layer of distortion, minimal notes resonating & feedback.
(((((2))))) More rudimentary drums, doomy pounding then sporadic rumbles and slightly noisy/feedback layers. At 5:03 they get super heavy and overpowering like a psych-rock Zeni Geva or (yes, Y.I.F...) Swans. A bit mellow and moody near the end.
