BOP – Organ star Joey DeFrancesco teams up with three Canadian musicians for an impromptu jam session, planned and recorded in a single day with no rehearsals, edits or retakes. The lineup is unusual – Hammond B-3, piano (or Fender Rhodes), tenor sax and drums. Everybody sounds loose, the vibe is friendly, and the results are great.

1. 11:11 – tender piano intro to light, breezy swing; upbeat solos trade off
2. 7:09 – slow, aching ballad: crooning sax, mellow organ, tinkly keyboard
3. 8:50 – strong uptempo bounce: piano & organ solos dig in, tough drums
4. 8:15 – blues march: gets greasy in sax solo, Rhodes sets up burnin’ B3
5. 11:58 – dreamy ballad: solos start out spindly, gain some heft by the end
6. 7:29 – fast tempo: skidding B3 solo, agile sax, everyone trades with drums
