This is a scorching platter of fearsome, relentless powerviolence from a hard-working Michigan band. After a series of mandatory splits and demos, they're offering this killer full-length for anyone prepared to take 28 minutes of lightning-fast thrashcore, fastcore, powerviolence, call it what you will. Anger and a keen eye for social absurdity permeate this band's aesthetic, and before you can fully digest the barrage of one song, it's on to the next. Most songs are under a minute long, and at the speed of grindcore (which is one possible definition of powerviolence: hardcore punk sped up EVEN MORE). The bass has a thick, harsh presence, and the rhythm section is absolutely ballistic, with hectic stop-start tradeoffs, tempo changes out of nowhere and finally, the album ends with a sludgy, mammoth-slow epic dripping with vitriol.
