Lots of influences here on this 7-song EP from the London band including Echo & The Bunnymen, The Beatles. Straightforward instrumentation of guitar, bass, drums. It’s more ‘pop’ or ‘indie’ than anything, if that means anything. No FCC’s.
*My Favorites*: 1, 5, 6.
1. *(3:10) Mid. Forceful, driving guitar and drum beat. Drum tambourine adds nice touch. Song about the speaker finding ‘the woman’.
2. (2:36) Mid. Very Beatles-ish with a touch of Louis XIV. Quick and simple.
3. (2:53) Mid. Quite poppy with some psyche guitar. Plodding beat.
4. (2:40) Slow / Mid. Guitar and vocal intro then drums, handclaps. Some quick guitar soloing.
5. *(2:41) Mid. Moody and easy-going, song about traveling through Grey Lynn park. Drumbeat ending.
6. *(3:03) Slow. Sparse and quiet with acoustic guitar, spacey organ. Mellow.
7. (4:04) Slow. Haunting, ominous, scary and sparse. Echoey vocal. Acoustic guitar and bass.
