Soul-folk-pop. Here we've got Sam Beame's signature breathy vocal lines, plus a whole lot of synths, drum machines, and otherwise funky electric arrangements. Not what you're probably looking for from Iron and Wine, but fairly inventive and certainly successful. We get a handful of numbers with more traditional instruments that are still a lot fuller and poppier than his previous stuff. Start with 1, 10 for the weird; 3, 7 for the traditional. FCC 4, 8. —Andy
**1 - punchy vocal riff repeated over wildly changing instrumentation, starting with aggressive organ swirls
2 - soulful folk-rock with big bass, synths and saxes
*3 - gorgeous Band of Horses breezy twang-pop, no synths
4 - FCC "fuck"; faster, nervous brooder with another funky, frantically changing instrumental arrangement
*5 - bounce, twang, and sugary backing vox in another fun folk-rocker
6 - long ominous groove, with bit-crushed vox, distorted guitars, and marimba
**7 - slow washed-out lullaby ballad; again, gorgeous sound
8 - FCC "fuckin"; solid funk-rock jam with a lot of horns and bass
9 - sunny midtempo pop
**10 - jazzy groove into a long, driving rocker
