Tyler Haddow 11/5/11
Two half-hour-long noise pieces. I do not want the disease for which these two tracks are “symptoms.” If you seek bad dreams, an upset stomach, or escape to a nihilist robotic void, this album is for you! Instrumental-- No FCC’s.
1. Most of these noises are unidentifiable, but that’s what’s cool about it. Every few minutes, a new “movement” with its own characteristic sounds begins. Creepy medical noises, fan blades, and space-age sounds are recurring themes.
2. In terms of sonic content and mood, the second track is much like the first. H Machinery, heavily manipulated vocals, and screeches are the recurring themes. Ceaselessly very abrasive. With about 6:15 left, the loop ends and the track starkly changes gears. This last 6 minutes is the highlight of the album; the percussive metallic noises and faint synth drones are very atmospheric.
