Novelty(?) covers of 70s and 80s TV show theme songs. It sounds like a Deep Purple cover band changed their source material. Also, when the guy hits high notes he sounds a little like Weird Al. Play if you are nostalgic about any of these shows. Highlights: 4, 6.
1. WKRP in Cincinnati: uptempo rock song. long intro with big guitar and synth. (4:42)
2. Land of the Lost: big drums, synth and guitar again. Adventurous lyrics (5:20)
3. The Facts of Life: big drums, synth and guitar again (2:27)
4. Laverne & Shirley: big drums, synth and guitar again. nice changes of dynamics (2:04)
5. Cheers: live sounds. begins with just piano, then the arena rock sound kicks in. Chanting and a big synth solo toward the end. (2:49)
6. The Munsters: A solid instrumental track. (4:23)
7. Dukes of Hazzard / King of the Hill: decidedly not country music. except there’s an interesting bluegrass-rock guitar solo. (3:13)
8. Who’s the Boss?: first midtempo track. slightly sentimental. “Hold me closer, Tony Danza” sung at the end. (3:52)
9. Sesame Street: live (or with added live sounds). nice upbeat swing. synth dominated. (3:32)
10. Airwolf: Starts with chorus-ey guitar. Moves into an 80’s ish vibe. Lot of changes in pace. Guy speaking plot setup about 4 minutes in. (5:32)
11. The Golden Girls: Quasi-punk version. (2:59)
12. Gilligan’s Island: Theme as usual, then slows down into some sort of eerie, synth-dominated sounds. Picks back up at 5:30, with some guitar-tapping and Styx’ “Come Sail Away” (7:31)
