Latin-flavored mainstream bop featuring 8 compositions by the artist plus a Monk classic and a Kurt Weill tune. Guest star Paquito D’Rivera shines as does the rest of the band. I especially like Dave Samuels vibe work.

*2. Relaxed groove enlivened by delicious use of vibes.
3. Swift rivers of flute, piano & percussion all flow together.
4. Lyrical piano and warm clarinet. Midtempo and lush.
*5. Mid/upbeat jam that jumps around tempos and over lines.
6. Sweet, relaxed, and melodic. A hint of sadness too.
*7. Warm vibes lead this midtempo meander w/sweet solos.
8. Upbeat duet/duel between piano and drums. Delicious.
9. Salsa-flavored bounce w/a sophisticated, tight arrangement.
