– General Description: Remember the band YES? So if they went purely instrumental, this is the feel you’d have except with a slightly more playful streak:
‘In a space between rock form and jazz freedom, evoking the pastoral psychedelia of Anthem of the Sun-era Grateful Dead, while simultaneously conjuring the tricky time signatures of Gentle Giant.’
Guranfoe is a Norwich (England) band that has been described as producing modern sounding jazz fusion while referencing classic prog rock. This is their debut studio album and they are an absolute delight.
– Musicians:
GURANFOE
James Burns - electric guitars, acoustic guitars
Ollie Snell - electric guitars, acoustic guitars, lap steel guitar
Robin G. Breeze - bass guitar, piano, Hammond T-202 organ, Gem Sprinter 49 B synthesizer
Joe Burns - drums, percussion, piano, Gem Sprinter 49 B synthesizer
ADDITIONAL MUSICIANS
Rob Milne - flute, clarinet
David Boyce - recorder
