Really great #deephouse EP from LA producer Glo Phase. A nice early 2000’s woozy feel to all the tracks with tasteful vocal samples and just the right amount of instrumentation. It’s even got some vinyl hiss to boot. Great late night, crate digging feel (in the vein of Amon Tobin, DJ Shadow, Mexican Institute of Sound, etc.) All tracks FCC Clean.
1. A mysterious synth line over a choppy breakbeat, punctuated by a touch of sung vocals. Slow fade out
2. Humming, droney synth with hand drums and a steady beat. The deep, loose baseline lends a nice expansive feel. Gets sunnier and funkier at the 3:30 mark
3. Slow, meandering, with warmly fuzzy synth. Nostalgic and cozy feeling all with a muffled punchy beat.
4. Bouncy, funky with chopped up vocals and jazzy bits. Remix of track 1
