Stoned, downbeat hip hop from the Midwest. Redolent of late 90's ish combined with the crushing weight of the past decade. Occasionally Envelope sounds like he took one too many bottles of DXM but for the most part this is a solid EP.

Play at 45 RPM. No cuts in the vinyl to separate tracks. ALL TRACKS DIRTY.

Recommended: A2, B2

A1: Envelope spits over a real chill, smoked-out beat with the Rhodes dawg. Not bad, but not great either.

*A2: Awesome production with the vintage 80s synths and real nice drums, yawl. Envelope spits the truth: "Wanna save rap?/ it don't need yo damn help / shits in its 30s/it takes care of its damn self". Awesome, play this.

A3: More throwback 90's ish with some rhodes and plodding bass. Great production, but the rhymes are unremarkable. Chorus is kinda retarded sounding. Too much DMX.

B1: Again with rhodes, a more uplifting beat. Envelope raps about his girl problems, which his solves by drinking his drugs. Skip this.

*B2: Filtered down production with a biggie sample on the chorus. Nice synths, banging track. Envelope screams, "We're all gonna die together! AAAAAAAAAAAH..."

B3: Staccato keys with upright bass and some female vox on the chorus. Envelope is jokin' around a bit too much on this track, kinda feels all over the place. Skip this one.
