From Croatia. Instrumental, dark foreboding, sometimes resembling noise rock, usually beatless and experimental if avante, cinematic, in nature, heavy bass and drums plodding or bursting, or use of electronics, lots of reverb. This is what Michael Gira (Swans) hears in his nightmares. Fans of Swans, Sunn ((O))), noisey early Skinny Puppy, Hunting Lodge, and all things big and doomy and dark will dig. Another winner from our Croatian friends. 1) (3:35) heavy reverb, spooky slowed bassy tones 2) (2:06) moist sounds, spookiness embellished with noise bursts 3) (3:52) a beat appears making this more musical, like Swans having a bad dream 4) (3:49) percussion but doomy pounding, no real bea 5) (4:15) dark, electronics, more chill 6) (1:24) almost avante, soundtracky, sparse 7) (3:54) very sparse, almost avante, includes a ringing cell phone (mute the damn thing!) 8) (3:20) industrial plod, nice 9) (2:37) sparser, creepy 10) (3:18) very creepy, very soundtrack’ish, about 2/3rds in a harsh burst of a band, stark contrast, with some Croatian voiceovers, play to underscore the interesting ethnic source of this 11) (4:07) sparse, more creepiness 12) (3:19) interesting disjunct beats, drums, strange noise rock with electronics, really cool 13) (3:30) definitely in the Skinny Puppy, Cabaret Voltaire realm of noisey dark electr 14) (4:25) cool and dark, with a cool little motif, sparse and cinematic for sure 15) (2:21) very chill, quiet, Eno’esque 16) (4:05) industrial plod, creepiness, drums appear for a disjunct if plodding ride 17) (2:35) pleasant acoustic guitar, dark, with cool sounds | ||
