Second release by local duo, Maxwell Croy and James Devane. Croy also runs Root Strata Twinkly koto, tapes, loops, lovely drone with some subtle bass that grounds it and provides depth. All great 1. (2:19) Jangly, strummy intro over drone and bass. 2. (4:09) Dreamy glissandos, wind chimes made of prisms, what sounds like a theramin although i know it isn't. Cinematic bliss. Think Stars of the Lid *3. (6.17) Swelling drone undertone with heart wrenching bowed koto. Think Deaf Center, Richard Skelton *4. (6:29) Beautiful sonic waves with koto plucking and bowing *5. (19:26) Japanese water bubbling over some shimmering, metallic koto. Think Lunar Miasma or Hobo Cubes played under/over the Lickets. | ||
