AM* Stereo “Purveyors of Boston’s Finest Disaster Rock since 1998” with their new album “Wish You Upon a Bar” on thegives us 12 tracks of loud, fun to play garage rock songs with elements that sound almost alternative and punk-ish. Great guitar riffs and chordage throughout, coupled with raspy yelling vocals makes for an album of good time raging songs. ONE FCC:Track 2
1.(2:08) Get it Close: Triumphant, steady, and mesmerizing, the song gives a great intro to the loud rock guitary goodness of the album.
2.(2:43)Any Enemy: Upbeat, happy, almost folky. Just a fun rock song that makes you want to jump around. ONE FCC
3.(3:31)Done Wrong: Another high tempo song with great guitar and ballad-like vocals.
4.(2:22)That’s High School: Like a punk rock song about sex and drugs and high school
5.(4:19) Harbor Deep: Slower start, progressively louder and intense rock song . Alternative vibes to it, almost reminds me of a Yellowcard song.
*6.(2:50)Tonite: Memorable chorus of “Tonite, Tonite, Tonite!” A high energy song, definitely one of the most fun to play on the entire album.
7.(3:26)I’ll Leave the Light off for You: Another song in their classic style, a little slower than the rest.
8.(3:53) Set to low: Similar to the rest of the album
9.(3:25)Slow Motion Getaway: Loud singing and fast paced guitar riffs make for a good song, sounds like an alternative/punk song
10.(3:26) Truth is He Lied: A more relaxed, gliding rock song
*11.(2:07)The Way I Say Hello: Noticeably more gritty and in your face than some of the other songs on the album. Raw rocking.
*12.(3:50)Crooked Kisses: Midtempo song that gets more intense towards the end. The vocals, drums, and guitar meld into a polished album closer.
