Dala, Canadian folk-pop duo, is singer/guitarist/songwriters Amanda Walther and Sheila Carabine. The style ranges from alt-trad to girlish light pop. Their light-rock DNA is shared with fellow Canadians Feist, Alanis, (perhaps even the clan’s matriarch Joni), and mixed with pretty-folk-pop like Colby Caillet. Focus on good singing, with light accompaniment. No FCC issues 1 ** Mid-slow. Begins quite folkie: acoustic guitars and touches of mandolin & pedal steel. Nice harmony singing.
