as reviewed by Mister Esquire. girly garage pop/neo-gothy schlocky. really solid garage girl group with gothic pretensions. elements of surf and rockabilly with a post punky touch. synth and organ sheen=awesome! FCC CLEAN. RIYL: the kills, those darlins, dum dum girls, the ettes, et al. MR ESQ. SEZ: MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOV-(that's half a 'W'.) PLAY THESE TRACKS: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,10. *1. sing songy piraty poppy, metallic crunch. 2. slow dance stripteasy=boring. *3. begin is quiet. catchy anthemic, rocks like a metallic banshees. *4. BEST TRACK: driving, bitchin' garage screamy rockabilly terror...meow. *5. BEST TRACK II: surfy rockabilly, propulsapop. 'knocking on the wrong door -bang! I've done that... haven't we all?...well, haven't we?... *6. breathy vocoder vox, sultry retro ala holly go lightly. rockin' beaut. *7. most metallic of the bunch. fast and bitchin'! 8. cheesy poppy. josie cotton. 9. menacy git and synths. mid paced. metallic. *10. slow and slinky organ driven (i'll take that striptease now.) 11. backwards loopy begin. stops abruptly (for too long), carries into upward momentum end.
