San Francisco Rock Quartet The Dead Westerns brings to mind The Mermen, Holly Golightly, and Spindrift. Reverberated leads, vibrato rhythm guitar, and a country surf rock vibe.
Recommended: A1, A2.
A1: Bizarro blues-y rock with lo-fi production and a very strange, deep male vocal. Sounds both southern and surfy.
A2: A plodding, sinister guitar riff and the dead knock of the drums with the aformentioned voice. Desert surf rock.
B1: Guitar with heavy vibrato and some sick drums. Still not sold on the vocalist but hes growing on me. Serious toe-tappin' rockabilly bass lines.
B2: Upbeat rockabilly groove with that makes me wanna get up and get DOWN! Old-timey and country sounding.
