DREAMY FOLK w SYNTH. The formula here is acoustic guitar, a deep voiced male voice, and synthesizer or other electric sounds (surf, space, static, etc.) as background and/or as intro. Lack of info on the package or the web makes it hard to say much more. No FCC issues. 1 Slow, somber. Synth intro, then simple folkie ballad. Male voice & acoustic guitar. (5:58) 2 * Slow, quiet. Synth intro, then a folkie part, then mid-tempo, pleasant & brighter with band & female backing voice(s). Keyboard leads much of it. (7:30) 3 * Mid-tempo. Two-guitar intro. Male/Female duet with bright sounding band. (2:33) 4 ** Mid-fast. Happy, catchy calypso beat. Good male & female singing. Stylish guitar. Steady rolling rhythm. Like a light cover of a song the Clash might have written. (4:54) 5 Mid-tempo. Mellow. Guitars and tom-tom. A bit dull. (6:01) 6 * Mid-tempo. First half: simple acoustic guitar and singing. Second half, multiple layered guitars, good bass & drums combine for a pleasing sound. a cappella coda. (5:21) 7 Mid-tempo. Electric sounds to start, then a song. Rather unsubtle acoustic strumming. Somewhat repetitive. Electric instruments & drums join in for big finish. (8:06) |
