Jail Weddings / “Standards” / Neurotic Yell Records

Big dramatic baroquey sound, indie rock, chamber music sound. Many instruments, rich big music hall sound. Wailing male vocals, quirky, trembly/wobbly at times, bit of a forced vibratto, unabashed, emotional (but not exactly “emo”) Ensemble sound. Pretty cool, no offending sounds (language though, “fuck” in track 1, noted below), but nothing too different/special.

FCC - 1
Favorites: All decent, not much stands out. Maybe 2 and 4?

1. 3:25 FCC - “fuck” Big sound, dramatic vocals, many instruments, pained, nice.
2. 4:16 Straightforward rock, epic feel, “ooohs”, vocals sound a bit forced.
3. 3:49 Fast strummed electric guitar, female vocals layered, rolling drums, nice fadeout with harmonies and guitars.
4. 7:00 Organ-esque keyboards, slower, vocals reminiscent of 80s ballads, Meatloaf-esque drama, last 2min a bit of a cool down. Nice journey.
