Matt Hill is from North Carolina and plays some seriously solid gritty blues w/ a great backing band. A big influence of his is Hubert Sumlin (guitar player for Howlin’ Wolf) so it’s got that sound going on as well as some ’50’s style rock and roll. Good stuff. FCC # 2.

*My Favorites*: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10.

1. *(4:45) Mid. Title track. Dirty, distorted guitar, plodding beat.
2. (2:55) Mid. FCC. Classic ’50’s R ‘n’ R vibe.
3. *(3:31) Mid. Big, steady beat, a bit of ’50’s R ‘n’ R, some R ‘n’ B too.
4. (5:50) Slow. Sparse dirge, w/ single-note guitar, big drums.
5. *(2:10) Mid / Fast. Driving and upbeat, channeling Jerry Lee or Little Richard.
6. (3:52) Mid. AC / DC classic. Walkin’ and struttin’, minimally crude lyrics.
7. *(5:04) Mid. Plodding beat. Got that Hubert Sumlin guitar style. Down ‘n’ dirty guitar and vibe. Long fade-out.
8. *(2:38) Mid. Upbeat, classic R ‘n’ R. Big drums, crunchy guitar.
9. (4:07) Mid. INSTRUMENTAL. Big Creedence Clearwater sound.
10. *(3:00) Mid. Roy Orbison song. Old school R ‘n’ R. Steady, big beat, Upbeat.
11. (3:49) Mid. Crunchy guitar, big beat, rolls right along.
