Really kick ass World-ish, RPM, Electronic album with hints of aggressive and political undertones. The album is the project from Modern Witch member Kamran Khan. It’s strangely perfect that this mix of weird, desert influenced, party bounce music is coming from Denver. The production reminds me of something that Switch would do for M.I.A. I’m delighted to have discovered this album and my favorite tracks are 2, 4, 7, and 9. Speeches at the beginning of songs can throw some people off. FCC Clean.
2:22 Starts with short speech. Goes into mid tempo ragtime-ish beat.
3:51 Ambient street protest noise with machine gun sounds surrounded by a Modeseleketor type up tempo (heavy kick drum) beat
2:18 Up tempo yet dark. Heavy kick with trance like arcade sounds and hand claps. Some arabesque voice sampled in.
2:29**Mid tempo Hip Hop beat. Dark and tuff. Voices of chanting crowd sampled into the beat.
2:47 Very Arab type sound. Mid tempo. Interesting percussion.
2:03 Political voice sampled with chanting. Heavy Indian beat.
3:10** Speech at beginning referencing Malcolm X. Huge bass beat.
2:29 Tablas give Indian feel. Trippy sub bass. Dark, slow/ mid tempo
3:01** Mid tempo with pretty female Indian voice. Very cliche.
2:57 Up tempo, heavy on the tablas. Dark and agressive.
5:06 Dub version of song #2. Slow and stoned.
