Background:Hailing from Australia, M-phazes dropped this album alongside with some east coast heavyweights. This guest list starts with Wu-Tang’s Inspectah Deck, Beat Junkies DJ, DJ Rhettmatic providing the scratches, Saigon, Cl smooth, Shabaam Sahdeeq, and plus many more. This album has the traditional boom bap feel to it, reminds you of how hip hop used to be. This Aussie producer really hit this one right, demanding that his music be brought out to the limelight and get the credit he deserves. Extremely hard Drums! Dope!*****
Tracks:
1.(M-troduction, featuring Emilio Rojas-) Very nice samples laid over a hard beat. Gives the producer a nice introduction of what he’s all about.(2:13)
2.(The Raw)-Saigon gets things started on this track and DJ Rhettmatic provides some complementary scratches. Before you know it a ODB sample(Yeah baby I like it raw) comes in and provides a transition for Inspectah Deck. Third verse beat changes up completely and Bekay rips a verse. nice transition to track three.(3:10)*****
3.(All Out)Beat transfers over to track three and starts with the same boom bap feeling. Has a old school feel and just like in track two beat switches up with 45 seconds left. (2:58)*****
4. (Underground Railroad)-NODYAHEADTODIS, got a fast paced flow on this joint, this has more samples dropped into the sound bed by DJ Rhettmatic. Beat switches up with 30 seconds left inn track. (5:05)*****
5.(I’m The reason)-Good old fashion east coast trunk slapper, flow is extremely dope and beat is a extremely good complement.(2:41)****
6.(Midnight Madness)-Heltah Skeltah gets this joint moving, flow is a head bobber, Dj does some justice to this track also, extremely complicated scratches in between verses. (2:46)***
7.(Another Classic)-Got that traditional east coast slap to it. (2:43)**
8.(Perfect Timing)- C.L. Smooth drops a gem on this one, it really is perfect timing. (2:51)*****
9.(Brooklyn Bridge)- Throw this one on if its sunny outside and you going out for a cruz. Got that solid East Coast feeling.
