Beautiful collaboration between a Senegalese vocalist/kora player and a German-born trumpet player. Traditional Griot-based tunes given a modern touch and a bit of jazz flair. It’s all so beautiful Low key and slow, but gorgeous.
*1. Slow and lovely with gorgeous vocals. Sigh….
2. Downtempo and lyrical with a warm, dreamy blend of sounds.
*3. Sweet vocals with the trumpet floating above. Relaxed.
4. Slow then livelier thanks to Joe Quitzke on drums. Very cool.
5. A light touch on the kora, a dreamy float from the trumpet.
*6. Downtempo with wonderfully sweet and emotional vocals.
