Did someone say sludge? Sweden’s newest purveyors of sticky-sweet stoner doom know they aren’t treading any new ground, but they march (or rather, plod) along with genuine passion, and that’s what counts. Droning guitars drenched in wah-wah and metric tons of fuzz, this puts them in the same league as YOB, Samothrace, Ufomammut, Ahab, etc. Epic bongblasting fun, FCC clean to sweeten the deal. Warning: if your sensitive ears can’t handle guttural vocals, quit your whining and play this anyway; or play some Saint Vitus instead if it’s really that big of a deal.

1. (14:24) Effects-laden intro leads into a dragging, despondent dirge. Eventually a menacing, rock-ish gallop emerges from the sludge.
2. (11:36) Slowly building MASSIVE riffs emerge from gloomy, drifting drone. No one’s getting out of here alive.
3. (9:05) ever-so-slightly more upbeat, rockin’ Motorhead-ish vibes, but still slow and dirgey; think High On Fire + painkillers.
