Downing’s got that ‘Americana’ sound - full of country, blues, folky stuff. Sounds like Steve Earle, Old ’97’s, even some semblance of Hank Williams. Instrumentation of guitars (elec, lap / pedal steel), bass, drums, banjo. Great songwriting, lyrics. Solid stuff. No FCC’s.
