from the notes: experimental & cinematic "post rock".
SF/NYC/Melbourne quintet formed in SF in 2005. This is their third album recorded live to analog tape on a farm in Sonoma.
A very fresh cool sound on all tracks.
All tracks are INSTRUMENTAL except #5
****1: 2:59 upbeat fast pounding drum, piano and guitar riff, bass & cello, a very cool sound.
2: 3:32 mid tempo, e-drum with piano intro ramps up to full sound with acoustic drum and percussion, locked piano trance
3: 6:18 mid tempo, guitar noodling intro, piano, pounding drum machine, percussion, cello, then full on drum kit
4: 9:18 slower, synthesizer, guitar noodling, drum machine, electronic sounds
5: 3:36 male vocal, mid to faster, trumpet, percussion
6: 4:00 mid tempo, nice cello, piano
****7: 2:42 mid to faster, very nice percussion, guitar and synthesizer?
8: 8:36 slow, drum, piano, guitar and cello sort of drone
9: 2:09 mid to faster, pump organ featured.
