KZSU dream rock, shoe gaze heroes: Instrumentals, pure bliss, radio-friendly length, musical and pretty, fits in with just about anything rock, from post to indie to noise to pop to whatever-rock. From Indiana (“of all places”) on the Inam Label along with our other faves Sujo-godhead, Bob Crane, Olekranon-Godhead. A pure distillation of everything that made the music of My Bloody Valentine so addictive, Loop like scraping the bong, Hammock the methadone treatment for those of us who fell hard, and then Nadja the relapse back to the hard stuff, realizing the point that, indeed, there is no cure. Does this make sense? If so, nuff sed. If not, go ahead, play it. Try it kid. The first one’s free…
All instrumental, no FCCs (swear to goD)
1) (2:51) starts quiet with chiming chords but quickly becomes epic shoegaze/dream pop, fades with noise, cold end if you don’t let it blend directly into next track (play together with next)
2) (2:40) lovely wall of guitar drone/noise, sublime
3) (3:08) almost upbeat, mid-up drums that fade out with ~40 secs left leaving guitar noise/wall
4) (4:06) chill, near ambient, lovely, no drums, just dreamy tones
5) (4:01) almost “rockin”, smacks of Loop, last ~1 min drums end and a cool drone carries it off
6) (4:02) epic feeling, ultimate shoe gaze/noise rock, close to a slow plod but more of a heavy head nod beat, anthemic really, almost familiar sounding in that sense
