Drugged up disco house. This is strictly analogue. Everything sounds like a fancier, more drug-dependent version of Alexander Robotnick, which is not quite as weird as it may sound. There is a lot of funkiness hidden in here, and if you like retro soundscapes and disco, you’ll be all over this. Check it out if you like: Chromatics, Robotnick, Glass Candy, Cut Copy. Try: 1, 2 FCC: Clean 1) 6:03 * Cute synthesizer melodies and retro flailing keys. Classic octave bass, some funky 80s style percussion tricks, and by now you’re just about ready to put on your Ray-Bans and cruise along Venice Beach. 2) 5:45 * Heavy percussion and arpeggiators. Going all in on the minor chords here with a cheeky synth lead. Cool stuff. 3) 5:00 Fast paced arpeggiators right off the bat. Squeeky octave keys join the fun and turn the track into something that sounds like an 80s sci-fi western. Needless to say, it’s awesome. The lead synths is wonderfully off-tempo. Extremely cheeky. |
