Vincent, Stefan: Chauvinist EP Label: Lowendcommunity
Wow. Stefan Vincent lists Aril Brikha & Carl Craig as inspirations, and I can see why. This is a sweet little 3-track EP of incredibly tasty tech-house. Elegant and catchy synths, reverberating and bouncing back & forth. Love it!!!! "Nultwintig" (#2) is my favorite track but "Habit" (#1) is also very good.
1. (Habit): Reverberating organ chords and fluttering, pinging synths. Simple and yet elegant. Incredibly catchy tech-y house with lovely layers of goodness.
2. (Nultwintig): This so totally sounds like something Aril Brikha or Carl Craig would make. Tremendous claps and a gorgeously twisted synth warble that colors & brightens the entire track, and isn't afraid to get all tweaked-out 2/3rds of the way in for a huge climax. Love this track. The dance floor needs this.
3. (Hazard): This track builds up more slowly. A bit more of a conventional minimal techno track. Crispy claps. Slightly moodier atmospherics than the other two.
