(CLEAN) 07. Marco Polo - Nite & Day f. Big Daddy Kane - Soulspazm Records:
I am a cat from the late 80’s so of course I cannot be mad at this one! Producer Marco Polo flips AL B Sure’s classic R&B hit ‘Nite and Day’ from 1988. The loop is light and airy just like the original cut but Marco Polo beefs it up with some nice boom bap drums. What better way to serve up this knocker but to illicit the help from another late 80’s cat Big Daddy Kane. Yes Kane does the track justice. On a side note Al B Sure did hear the track before it’s release and gave it a stamp of approval for what its worth. Dope mellow cut. Play it! – M-SMOOTH

Due to sample clearance issues, this fantastic collab with industry legend Big Daddy Kane remained unreleased... UNTIL NOW. Marco Polo laces together a slammin' late-night headnodder with f-f-f-f-fresh scratches by Shylow on the chorus. And if you thought the production was dope, the Great Kane somehow manages to top it with some of the insightful and interesting lyrics I've heard in a while. Don't sleep A-file this bad-boy. Clean, too.
