Garagey twisted surf with dark flavorings and a low fi taste. Kid Congo wrote this book, playing guitar for dark surf/garage progenitors The Cramps, proto alt-country-punk band Gun Club and then the kings all things murder ballad: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. And said book is the one that bands like White Stripes, Black Lips, Black Keys, John Spencer, Thee Oh Sees, all learned from. With a resume like that you’d expect nothing but greatness. You wont be disappointed.

1) (3:05) spooky surfy dark with cool synth
2) (4:14) slightly funky 70’s flare, cool bendy guitar
3) (3:17) bouncy garage 60’s jangle for sure
4) (3:04) simple midpaced driving low fi garage
5) (2:02) simple rock, could be early 80’s psyche revival Dream Syndicate or so
6) (3:50) slower dark twang, spooky
7) (4:01) instrumental live sound, with crowd noise, a simple bluesy improv feel
8) (1:50) 60’s organ garage fun, retro cool
9) (2:21) a bit of a swingy bluesy twang
10) (2:21) slower twangy David Lynchian smarmy greatness
11) (2:49) lovely simple mid-slow swingy couple dance, simple chords, nice
12) (7:06) slower smarmy jazzy dark, instrumental ends with 3:27 remaining, then with 3:08 remaining another “hidden”(?) track appears, a silly 60’s flavored dance craze theme song, with off key silly back up vocs
