Nhar - An Ubiquitious Matter / Novice Label: KOMPAKT
Great stuff from Nhar, a nice dubby-house single ("An Ubiquitious Matter") plus 4 remixes of a song called "Novice". Nhar's release has a very distinctly Euro-disco/New-Wave style with very richly layered synths. It's not fast, some tracks are slower than most house tracks, but it's very listenable and enjoyable. Try #1, #2, #4.
1. "An Ubiquitous Matter" (6:25) - Deep rolling bass on a dubby space-y house track. Soft vocals, trippy ambience.
2. "Novice – Undo Remix" (5:52) - Disco-house rich with multi-layered 80s-style synths. Very nice retro vibe.
3. "Novice – Stop Thinking Remix" (7:14) - Epic and dramatic. Very rich synths, deep bass rolls, big breaks and big buildups.
4. "Novice – Démian’s Vicious Remix" (6:41) - A cheerful version, with lighter and warmer synths and claps, bringing you up a little bit.
5. "Novice – Opuswerk Remix" (6:40) - Sounds like new-wave with a bit of a German-disco flavor. Synth heavy with big analog basslines.
