Slim’s been in the business since the ’70’s and has a raspy, gravelly well-lived voice. He plays some killer southern rockin’ blues, dirty, mean and raw w/ insane slide gtr and a tight band. Mostly originals, and a sea shanty! (#14). Solid stuff. FCC #10. *My Favorites*: 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 15. 1. (4:03) Mid Good-time barroom blues boogie. 2. *(2:50) Mid. Title track. Dirty blues w/ killer vcl. 3. (4:52) Slow. Jazzy bluesy piano dirge, m & f vcls. 4. *(3:15) Mid. Allman Bros-ish vibe, a bit dirtier. 5. *(2:25) Mid. Killer slide gtr, sparse then full band, topical lyric. 6. *(4:56) Mid. Classic Slim Harpo tune. Dirty harmonica, gtr. 7. (5:12) Mid.
